Blood test back :( Need prayer.....

Hi all just wanted to leave a quick post to let everyone know I am still blogging, havent been getting many comments on my blog lately and I am not sure if its because I am totally boring or if everyone has been super busy getting ready for the Holidays, I am assuming its a little of both :)

I did not completely finish my sewing room like I had planned and I have still not even got to turn my new used serger on, bummer I know but today I had a follow up apt with the doc to go over my blood work and it ended up not going to well found out my liver enzymes are up so I have to go in for a sonogram and I have to do more blood test to check for hepititus. Also I had something up with my anitnucular antibodies, I tested positive on that and the number was pretty high or something like that so now I have to see a romatologist to see what kind of tissue disease I may have, she is leaning towards lupus but nothing set in stone till I see the specialist. My cholestoral was a little high but cant take meds for that cause of my liver problem and my vitamin d was low. Ugh...... so for now it is wait and see and while I wait and wait some more I have to start exercising and lose some weight, alot of weight. She gave me a paper with several diets and told me to just find one that fits me that I can do no matter what it be so, starting tomorrow I begin my quest.
I will keep everyone updated as I find things out, prayers are needed and would be greatly appreciated, I am not ok with having anything wrong with me and am chosing to fight this all the way.

Hugs,
Kathy

I hope you hear some good news from your doctors. Often the anxiety of a situation is worse than the outcome. Hang in there. Wishing you well.

I am saying a prayer as I type this. One time my liver enzymes were up and it turned out to be nothing that they could identify and the next time they were normal. I pray your outcome is as simple. I love your blog!!

I went through a similar incident. My liver enzymes were so high. I had the sonogram, the MRI , colonoscopy, and toooo much blood work. The specialist tested for all kinds of diseases and disorders. I couldn't take the meds for high cholesterol due to the abnormal liver enzymes. Thankfully, now my enzyme levels are normal. The doctor couldn't find anything wrong. My prayers are with you. It was such a trying time, trying to keep positive and not knowing what was happening with my body. I will keep you in my prayers.

kathy, I hope that all your further tests come back negative. you sound like you don't need anything else on your plate. I do have a suggestion. Because of your positive ANA, elevated enzymes, & low D, I would suggest that you see a Heptologist, or at least a gastro, as there is another autoimmune liver problem that fits with your symptoms that I have. it is called PBC. And my doctors ran a lot of test to determine whether it was AIH or PBC. There are a lot of wonderful on line groups for all kinds of medical conditions. let us know how it goes.

I'm hoping your tests come back fine. And the good thing about losing weight is there has never been a better time. There is so much support on the Internet if one needs it, as well as different eating plans that can work for you. There's no right diet for everyone, you just have to find what works for you.

I know that this must be a very stressful time for you. I will send up a special prayer. This is my first time reading your sewing blog. I plan to return. When you get a chance, would you consider changing the text color or the background? I'm having trouble reading. The colors compete with each other. Please don't take this as a negative comment, but it may help others as well.
