Goodmorning friends..............................................
Well first off I have been ask if I am going to be continueing at Wal-Mart since I will be starting at State Farm on Monday and the answer is No, I will be working 40hr. weeks at the new job so have no desire to work more than that.
Okay now onto my big question:
I stay sleepy, or tired most of the day and it has gotten to where I get next to nothing done because of my need for a nap. I also sleep around 10 to 12 hrs a night because lately or for the last few months anyhow I have not been able to wake up before 9'ish. I have never had this problem and it is getting out of control. I cannot have this with me starting to work. I will be working from 8-5 and will have to drive atleast 22 miles to work everyday and that means I will have to leave my home no later than 7:15am which means I am going to need to wake by 5:30-6:00am to allow me time to get ready for the day, have coffee and breakfast.
I will tell you that I am very over weight which has caused my lack of exercise which had caused me to be overweight. I am very un motivated through the day and find myself to be almost lazy ok not almost, just lazy......
I hate the feeling, I wake every morning feeling like I need more sleep, I never wake feeling refreshed or like I slept well, always wake feeling like I had very to no sleep at all and I feel that way most of the day, ugh............
Any ideas or diagnosis,lol?
I am not currently takeing any vitamins and I can say I do not eat well for the most I eat very little and it is usually just what ever I put in my mouth to satisfy me for the moment.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like a visit to your doctor is in order for a good ole checkup. You could be anemic or need B12 shots or who knows. Hope you start feeling better soon. It will be very hard to start a new job, what with the stress, etc... if you are feeling tired. Sometimes a chemical imbalance will cause depression too. You might need to talk to your dr. about that possibility. I am not a dr. and have no real knowledge about anything, but hopefully your dr. will.
I agree with what Julia said, Though myself, I never "crawl" out of bed befor 9am, but I think that is because I dont go to bed before 1.30am - I am just a night owl. I do not do mornings..... Hope you feel better soon xxx
I'm not a doctor, but since you asked, here's what I would do:
- drink lots of water to help your body "deal with" things.
- use lots of coconut oil (one of the good fats) to give your body energy without adding to your fat stores.
- try to incorporate lots of fresh, local fruits and vegetables in your diet.
By all means, google "water" and "coconut oil" and "raw food"
I hope you feel better soon!
Thanks for sharing this with us. I know exactly what you mean. I work full time and 2-3 years ago, I was going through the same thing. I couldn't sleep late, because I have a long commute (like you), but when I got home, I was so sleepy and on most Saturdays, I'd sleep alot. I felt guilty and also felt like I wasn't getting anything accomplished as Saturdays was the only real day I had to do anything.
I did go to the doctor and at first he said it sounded like symptoms of my being anemic, but after they did all of the blood work, they found that I wasn't anemic and all of my blood work was normal.
I started taking vitamins and started walking fairly regularly then. Started losing some weight and felt better.
You're right: you don't want to feel sleepy all of the time at work--especially on a new job.
I still need to lose weight. Sorry to be so long. I'll be praying for you.
After as many pregnancies in few years, I, too have extra weight and lack of energy. I do better when I keep to my "diet" for A blood types (Eat Right for your Type). Every blood type has beneficial foods, neutral foods and foods to avoid. Biggest thing for me is to avoid processed foods, slow down sodas and take vitamins and watch my meat intake, focus on the beneficial foods. It is not too whacky, but look the book up at the library and try seeing what may work for you.
I KNOW THAT FEELING OH SO WELL. My doctor sent me for a sleep study (I'm awaiting the results now). He thinks I have sleep apnea. From all I hear about the symptoms I think I have it too.
I used to feel like that too
early last year. I was a graduate student with two kids , and lots of research and I couldn't just think or get myself straight I was always sleeping, and always nagging. Then I decided to start excercising , I will go to the gym every other day, and within 2 weeks of regular visit to the gym I felts so much better. In the end I lot about 20pds and I felt so better. Since then any time I feel that way I just force myself to the gym. You might still need to talk to your doctor too, but if U try and do a little excercise every morning when U wake up, even if it's just to jump up for about 20 times or do a little pressup in the morning it might help. All in all you still need to check with your doctor. All the best and hope you get better soon
I don't have anything to add to the wisdom, but I hope you feel better soon. I have felt a bit like that this week and it isn't nice! Good luck in your new job.
Hi - I'll just reiterate what others have said, and would do in this order. 1. Try to walk for at least 1/2 hour per day, outside, rain or shine. 2. Eat fresh food, balanced diet -nothing extreme, just a little of everything, but plenty of vegetables, fruits, and lean protein. 3. If you don't feel better after two weeks of doing 1 and 2, definitely visit your doc. Good luck! Keep us posted on how you're doing. And enjoy your new job.
Go to the doc!!!! Also, i see a female dr and she seems to understand b/c she is a mom, a working mom and understand!!!!
You can see you're not alone in this - but it feels very overwhelming, doesn't it!
My suggestion is to be very aware of your carbohydrate intake during the early part of the day. You may be a Carbohydrate Addict. I am. Heller and Heller on the www may be able to help you with The Carbohydrate Addicts Diet.
I pray that you will be able to get a grip on this. It's no joy at all, is it! Bless You.
